Cheng Zhang​ ​Cheng Zhang is the Microsoft MVP in WDE since 2008. He graduated from Shanghai Ocean University with bachelor's degree and lives in Shanghai now. He is the specialist in IT infrastructure and masters Windows Server、Directory Service and Virtualization, so he is the lecturer for Microsoft CPLS and always teaches Microsoft course. He is a technique writer too and gets the column in the Chinese famous Microsoft Technology Blog ITECN(blogs.itecn.net), he has published 3 books about Windows and Windows application yet. DanaEpp.jpg Dana Epp​ Dana Epp researches software security and focuses on strong authentication and identity assurance solutions at Scorpion Software Corp. As a computer security software architect, Dana has spent the last 15 years focusing on software development with a particular emphasis on security engineering.

Dana has been an instructor in the Computer Information Systems department at the University of the Fraser Valley and British Columbia Institute of Technology, teaching students about computer programming and information security. He has brought to market various computer security products including secure operating systems, firewalls, VPNs, authentication devices and intrusion prevention systems (IPS). His latest research has been on identity and access control for Windows environments, focusing on strong authentication for small and midsized business.

Since 2006, Mr. Epp has been honored with the award and distinction as a “Microsoft Windows Security MVP” by Microsoft for his work and expertise in computer and software security. Mr. Epp is the author of “Computer Security Concepts: Managing Business Threats in a Wired World”, a book written to explain at an executive level how to handle the threats of online risk as companies move to the new digital economy, and is the author of the popular security blog “Dana Epp’s Rambling at the Sanctuary”. ​

Dave O'Leary ​ Dave O’Leary I.S.P., ITCP/IP3P
As an educator Dave led development of innovative programming such as the Aboriginal Financial Management program and the Network Specialist Program at Capilano College where he also taught business and developed the department’s Cooperative Education program.  In 2002 he was awarded the Association of Canadian Community Colleges (ACCC) National Leadership Excellence Award.  He is past president of the Association for Cooperative Education for British Columbia and the Yukon.  Dave is currently the CIO and Dean of Computer and Business Technology at Northwest Community College in British Columbia.
Dave is co-founder (2000) and director of an ISV computer technology business and mentor to a number of successful start-up ventures. He recently completed a term as a National Director of the Canadian Information Processing Society (CIPS), and currently sits as a Director of the British Columbia Board of CIPS.  He serves as a task force member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE); is a Director of the Board of the Information & Communications Technology Council (ICTC) and chair of the Canadian National Council of Deans of Information Technology serving in an advisory capacity to the ACM and a user group leader for GITCA in this role. Dave has served as a panel member in a number of Microsoft Canada webcasts. In July 2007 he presented an invited paper on the impact of educational technology on management strategies of higher education institutions at the International Conference on Higher Vocational Education in Qingdao, China. ​

Terrie McAloney​ Terrie has been involved in adult education since 1976 - college instructor, assessment coordinator, program administrator, instructor-trainer, online curriculum developer, education technology and collaborative developer of programs and services.  Terrie is a recipient of the Support and Service Award,  one of the Innovation Awards in Education Technology for the British Columbia, Canada,  Public Postsecondary System. As a leader, Terrie was instrumental in creating a collaborative of fourteen institutions from around BC in developing and delivering a totally online program for Applied Business Technology.  Using this same model, Terrie,
coordinated four institutions in the development and delivery the Information Computer Technology online diploma. Both programs use Cloud based shared services applications in delivery.  Over the last ten years she lead the development of shared services for post-secondary education in BC through BCcampus including  learning management systems, web conferencing, and student data exchange.  Currently, Terrie is working on the development of two services for students;  CoursesBC.ca and MyCreditsBC.ca both delivered in the cloud. ​


David Nudelman​ David Nudelman is a Senior Microsoft Consultant at Ultima Business Solutions, based in Reading, UK. He is a member of the Springboard Series Technical Expert Panel and a Microsoft MVP on the Windows Expert - IT Pro category. Dr. Doug Terry​ Doug Terry is a Principal Researcher in the Microsoft Research Silicon Valley Lab.  His research focuses on the design and implementation of distributed systems with an emphasis on cloud data services, replication, ubiquitous computing, and mobility.  He serves on the Council of the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) and as Chair of ACM’s Special Interest Group on Operating Systems (SIGOPS).  Prior to joining Microsoft, Doug was the co-founder and CTO of a start-up company named Cogenia, Chief Scientist of the Computer Science Laboratory at Xerox PARC, and an Adjunct Professor in the Computer Science Division at U. C. Berkeley, where he regularly teaches a graduate course on distributed systems.  Dr. Terry has a Ph.D. in Computer Science from U. C. Berkeley, a B.A. from U. C. San Diego, and is an ACM Fellow.​

J. Trevor Hughes​
J. Trevor Hughes, CIPP, is the President and CEO of the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP). In this role, Hughes leads the world’s largest association of privacy professionals.
Hughes is an experienced attorney in privacy, technology and marketing law. He has provided testimony before the U.S. Congress Commerce Committee, the Senate Commerce Committee, the Federal Trade Commission, the Home Affairs Committee of the British Parliament and the EU Parliament on issues of privacy, surveillance, spam and privacy-sensitive technologies. He is a member of the first class of Certified Information Privacy Professionals (CIPP) and recently completed, with co-author Reed Freeman, Privacy Law in Marketing, published by CCH.
Hughes has previously served as the executive director of the Network Advertising Initiative, a leading online privacy trade association, and the Email Sender and Provider Coalition, a trade association working on e-mail policy and practices. Prior to these roles, Hughes was director of privacy and corporate counsel for Engage, a leading online media and software company. Before that, Hughes worked as corporate counsel for UnumProvident, where he focused on legal issues associated with advertising and online insurance transactions.
Hughes is an adjunct professor of law at the University of Maine School of Law and has lectured on privacy at Harvard, MIT, the London School of Economics, Boston College Law School, Georgetown University and Northeastern University. He is a frequent speaker on privacy issues at conferences around the world. Hughes has been featured on National Public Radio’s “Morning Edition”, the PBS “Nightly Business Report”, BBC Radio, and in the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Forbes, PCWorld, Washington Post, Boston Globe and Business Week. 
Hughes also has significant experience as a media official at the 1994 World Cup, 1996 Olympics and the 1999 Women's World Cup. A native of Canada, Hughes holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from the University of Massachusetts and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Maine School of Law.​

Jim Reavis​
For many years, Jim Reavis has worked in the information security industry as an entrepreneur, writer, speaker, technologist and business strategist. Jim's innovative thinking about emerging security trends have been published and presented widely throughout the industry and have influenced many. Jim is helping shape the future of information security as co-founder, executive director and driving force of the Cloud Security Alliance. Jim was recently named as one of the Top 10 cloud computing leaders by SearchCloudComputing.com.
Jim is the President of Reavis Consulting Group, LLC, where he advises security companies, large enterprises and other organizations on the implications of new trends such as Cloud and how to take advantage of them.
